AWE-Saum Driving School 2026

Start Date: March 16, 2026

Eligibility

• Students must be 14 years old to take the class
• Students must be 15 years old to take the state permit test

Registration

• Students must sign up in the school office by March 16
• Will need a student or parent e-mail address
  

Cost

• The online permit course is FREE for all Kelliher Students
• The district will cover the online course one time only (If a student needs to retake the course, families are responsible for the cost.)

*Alternative Drivers Education Option 

Families may choose to complete online permit course and or behind-the-wheel instruction through Bemidji Driving School   http://BemidjiDrivingSchool.com

• Families may be reimbursed for the cost of the online course
• A reimbursement form must be picked up in the school office
• Reimbursement applies to the first time the online course is taken only
  • Half the cost of Behind-the-Wheel through Bemidji Driving School may also be reimbursed

Behind-the-Wheel Instruction

After successfully completing the online course and before taking the written permit test, students must:

• Enroll with Driving School for behind-the-wheel (6 hours of instruction is required)
• Kelliher School district will cover half the cost of behind-the-wheel instruction
